MARRIAN FAMILY TREE
May 2014 - Unfortunately, this website has been off line for a number of years for various reasons and I have only recently found a backup copy of the data files. I have therefore re-published the information as it was the last time it was on-line and it may be that there is some missing data. If you are reading this and have any additional family information that you would like me to add please do send me an email and I will try and add it without too much delay.
Although I believe most members of the family either have a copy or have seen a copy of the book written in 1957 by Stanley Marrian (1917 - 2007) and Morton Marrian (1912 - 1998)

There is also a manuscript by Morton Marrian that was written in 1952 and this gives more personal data on our ancestors.

Towards the end of 2008 I received a very exciting email from
Michel
Despret from Belgium who told me he is presently the oldest representative of
the oldest branch of the Despret family existing in
Belgium. As well
as telling me a little more about his, and possibly our, family
(click here for copy of email) - he also attached an article that he had
kindly reproduced that relates to a local (to Belgium) forge and blast furnace
called "La forge Philippe" which was one of the very first and most important
ones owned by the Despret family. As you will see in his email he tells me that
the French in the article is difficult to understand but I have put a copy on
here (click here to see the article) for those of you that would like to see it.
I also hope to have a translation to accompany this at a later date.
